Young and straightforward, Ballarin’s 2024 Dolcetto d’Alba shows a bright ruby colour with slight violet hues. On the nose cherry and Morello cherry emerge, accompanied by hints of violet and a faint herbaceous note: the profile is frank and immediate, without artifice. On the palate it’s easy-drinking, with balanced acidity, fine tannins and a soft texture that delivers a juicy mid-palate; the sip remains savory and pleasantly persistent, inviting a convivial, everyday approach.

Versatile at the table, it pairs naturally with cured meats, tomato-based first courses, savory pies and white meats, but also stands up well to fresh cheeses and rustic pizzas. Serve at around 14–16 °C; it does not require long bottle aging and should be enjoyed young to appreciate its freshness and liveliness. An honest and approachable wine, made for those seeking an immediate, sincere sip with good drinkability.
