Pairing Red meats, roasts, aged cheeses
It shows a beautiful, lively ruby color and an immediate nose, enlivened by ripe red fruit with aromas of cherry and plum, accompanied by light spicy notes and a floral hint. In the glass there are also subtle earthy suggestions and a balsamic undertone that complete the profile without overwhelming it. The palate is straightforward and pleasant: medium-bodied, with good freshness and a pleasant sapidity that support the soft tannins without weighing them down. The balance between fruit and structure makes it accessible now, yet it has a decent persistence that invites a second sip.

It’s a wine of good character for everyday use and convivial dining: it pairs well with ragù pasta dishes that aren’t overly elaborate, grilled white meats, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serve around 16–18 °C; a short aeration softens its edges and highlights the fruit. Suitable for informal dinners but capable of standing up to more refined preparations, it’s a practical choice for those looking for a red with solid value for money, able to support flavorful dishes without overpowering them.

Winery history
La Garofoli is a family-run company that has been part of Marche viticulture for generations. The company's official website presents the business as "Italian estate since 1901" and describes a family history developed over multiple generations; other specialized sources and technical datasheets report references to the family's activity as early as the late 19th century and to commercial production in vintages predating the 1900s. The company subsequently evolved with facilities in Castelfidardo and vinification structures for Verdicchio in the Serra de' Conti area, and expanded its presence with wines from Conero and other local appellations.
