Berlucchi ’61 Franciacorta Rosé DOCG is made from Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%), sourced from the finest vineyards across Franciacorta’s 19 municipalities. A short maceration of the Pinot Noir on its skins gives the wine its distinctive intense pink colour and appealing fruity character. The vinification includes gentle pressing, fermentation in steel vats and the addition of 5% reserve wine aged in stainless steel.

Second fermentation in the bottle and at least 24 months of ageing on the lees contribute to a fine, persistent bead. The bouquet reveals elegant aromas of small red berries and ripe fruit, complemented by delicate notes of yeast and bread crust. On the palate, it is refined, lively and full-bodied, with a Brut dosage of 6.5 g/l. Serve at 6–8 °C. An excellent aperitif, it pairs well with cured meats, savoury first courses, mature cheeses and shellfish.
