The Gewurztraminer Cuvée Christine Late Harvest by Domaines Schlumberger is a sublime interpretation of Gewurztraminer, one of the most aromatic and characteristic grape varieties of Alsace, France. This sweet wine, produced following the tradition of late harvests, represents excellence in the Domaines Schlumberger range, dedicated to the memory of Christine Schlumberger, who with her vision contributed to the success and prestige of the winery.

Late harvests indicate the harvesting of grapes well beyond normal ripeness, allowing the fruit to develop a high concentration of sugars and an exceptional aromatic complexity, often enriched by the presence of "noble rot" (Botrytis cinerea), which further concentrates the sugars and aromas. Gewurztraminer, with its naturally intense flavor profile and penchant for sweetness, lends itself beautifully to this style of winemaking, producing wines of extraordinary richness and depth.

Domaines Schlumberger, with its commitment to sustainability and quality, grows Gewurztraminer in vineyards located on particularly favorable soils, characterized by excellent sun exposure and volcanic and calcareous soils, which contribute to giving the wine a notable minerality and freshness , balancing the natural sweetness.

The vinification of Cuvée Christine takes place with great attention to the preservation of varietal aromas and the management of the balance between sweetness and acidity. The wine is matured in oak barrels for a period that can vary, enriching itself with subtle toasted and spicy notes, which integrate perfectly with the complex aromatic profile of Gewurztraminer.

At sight, the Cuvée Christine Vendemmia Tardiva presents itself with an intense golden color, a sign of the rich concentration of sugars and aromas. On the nose, the wine is an explosion of aromas: notes of ripe exotic fruit, such as litchi and mango, jasmine and rose flowers, honey, and spicy and balsamic nuances, creating an extraordinarily rich and inviting bouquet.

In the mouth, the Gewurztraminer Cuvée Christine is a triumph of sweetness balanced by a lively acidity, which keeps the wine fresh and drinkable despite its intensity. The range of flavors reflects the olfactory complexity, with a long and persistent finish that leaves an unforgettable impression of elegance and refinement.

This wine is an ideal accompaniment for desserts, blue cheeses and foie gras, but can also be enjoyed on its own, as a meditation, to conclude a special dinner. The Cuvée Christine Late Harvest by Domaines Schlumberger is a tribute to the richness of Gewurztraminer and the art of Alsatian viticulture and winemaking, offering a unique and fascinating sensory experience.
