Winery history Domaines Schlumberger

The Schlumberger family has been present in Guebwiller since the 16th century; the modern origins of the estate date back to the early 19th century when Nicolas Schlumberger purchased vineyards. In the following decades the property expanded through acquisitions and vineyard renovations, with replanting and terrace reconfiguration that shaped the estate's current layout.

Production philosophy

Production focused on respect for the land and on enhancing the crus: the domaine vinifies only the grapes harvested from its own vineyards and has moved toward sustainable vineyard management, converting selected parcels to biodynamic practices.

Terroir and vineyards

Steep vineyards situated on the southern slopes of the Vosges around Guebwiller, at varying elevations and on diverse soils. The domaine owns extensive vineyard plots spread across Grand Cru parcels such as Kitterlé, Kessler, Saering and Spiegel.
