The base of this product is grappa, obtained from the distillation of mixed grape pomace, to which an infusion of Marasca, the typical cherry of the Venetian hills, is added. The distillation occurs in ancient copper stills, using the bain-marie method, which helps preserve the delicate aromatic notes of the ingredients.
The alcohol content of the Gran Bassano Rosso is well-balanced, making it ideal for sipping neat after a meal or as a base for innovative cocktails. The vibrant ruby red color is completely natural, derived from the cherries without any added artificial colorants.
On the nose, the intense and sweet notes of cherry are immediately distinguishable, followed by nuances of marzipan and slight hints of vanilla, due to aging in small oak barrels that give this spirit an intriguing complexity. On the palate, the Gran Bassano Rosso is smooth and rich, with a perfect balance between sweetness and a slight acidity that invites another sip.
