La Licorne Armagnac Millesime 1983 is presented in a wooden case, the understated hallmark of a collector's bottle. In the glass it shows a measured balance: full-bodied but not heavy, with well-tempered warmth and a smooth tannic texture. The aromatic profile is mature and complex, with dried fruit and plum, candied citrus peel and a hint of sweet spices; the wood is present but integrated, lending vanilla and light notes of tobacco and leather without overpowering the spirit.

The sip delivers an elegant progression, soft at the start and supported by a savory persistence that invites a second tasting. It suits those seeking depth and nuances for slow tasting: serve at room temperature or slightly warmed in a cognac glass to open the aromas. It pairs in moderation with dark chocolate, aged cheeses or as the seal of a contemplative evening; the wooden case also makes storage or gifting easy.
