La Licorne Armagnac Millesime 2002 from Sasu Un Petit Grain shows a restrained, refined character: on first approach ripe fruit and plum notes emerge, with a light floral touch that softens the profile. Wood aging surfaces with touches of vanilla and sweet spices, accompanied by subtle dried fruit; the tannic structure remains discreet, supporting a warm softness and a well-integrated alcoholic lift. The palate is balanced, of measured body and with a persistence that recalls sweet tobacco and polished leather.

Ideal as a meditative spirit, it is best enjoyed slowly in a glass that gives each note time to develop; it lends itself to simple pleasures paired with dark chocolate or aged cheeses, but retains grace even with desserts based on dried fruit. The wooden case, besides enhancing the presentation, helps keep the distillate protected over time, making it an elegant choice for storage or gifting and a bottle to be allowed to evolve slowly in the glass.
