The Morgon La Voûte Saint-Vincent from Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes is an excellence from Beaujolais, characterized by the singular Gamay grape variety. This wine reveals a very pure and vibrant expression of its terroir. It comes from vines about 70 years old, planted on the schist and granite slopes of Morgon, one of the most respected crus in the region.

Deep ruby red in color, the Morgon La Voûte Saint-Vincent opens with an aromatic bouquet of ripe red cherries, undergrowth, and a light spiciness. On the palate, it offers beautiful complexity with notes of fresh red fruit, black pepper, and a distinctive mineral touch. Its structure is robust yet well balanced by a lively freshness that elegantly persists on the finish.

Beloved for its ability to evolve magnificently in the cellar, it is also delightful to enjoy young. It pairs beautifully with red meat dishes, game, or soft cheeses. A wine that demonstrates the depth and elegance that Gamay can express in the terroir of Morgon.

Winery history
The estate has been family-owned for generations. The Desvignes family has been present in the Morgon area for centuries and operates from a 19th‑century house with a historic vaulted cellar. In recent years the estate’s management has been taken over by Claude‑Emmanuelle and Louis‑Benoît, who have expanded on‑site bottling and enhanced the cru’s historic parcels.
Production philosophy
The winery prioritizes respect for the terroir and simplicity: agricultural practices oriented toward organic farming, rigorous grape harvesting and selection, parcel-by-parcel winemaking, and extended aging in cement tanks/œufs, with limited use of sulfites.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Villié‑Morgon, the estate works notable parcels such as Javernières and Côte du Py. The soils are varied, typical of the crus of Morgon, and provide structure and longevity to the wines.
