The Rapitala Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC shows an immediate, sincere character: deep ruby color with violet hints and aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, accompanied by touches of garrigue and black pepper that underline its personality. On the nose it is direct but not predictable, with a pleasant aromatic freshness that avoids the typical heaviness; the body is medium-full and the tannic profile, well balanced, tends toward silky tannins that support the sip without weighing it down.

On the palate it is enveloping and savory, with a fairly rich mid-palate and a balance between softness and acidity that ensures drinkability and good persistence. It is a versatile Nero d’Avola, suitable for grilled meats, rustic ragùs and aged cheeses, but it also stands up well to more flavorful Mediterranean dishes; serve at a moderate temperature and, if possible, open a few minutes beforehand to enhance its dynamism. It also shows modest potential for further development in bottle if stored under proper conditions.
