Ombrone di Cupano is a wine with the Sant'Antimo DOC designation, born in the gentle hills of the Tuscan Maremma, a land rich in winemaking tradition and unspoiled landscapes. The selected blend and careful vinification enhance the typical structure of the red grape varieties grown in this area, giving the wine a harmonious balance between freshness and body.

The aging in oak barrels helps develop intense aromas of ripe red fruit, enriched by pleasant spicy and toasted notes that provide an enveloping and complex character. On the palate, Ombrone presents soft tannins and good persistence, able to accompany rich and flavorful dishes such as roasted meats, aged cheeses, and traditional Tuscan recipes. The Magnum version adds a special charm, ideal for convivial moments or long tastings, further enhancing the organoleptic evolution over time. This wine is a passionate proposal that pays tribute to the genuineness of the Sant'Antimo terroir with elegance and character.

Production of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino Vineyard at Podere Centine Certified organic farming and biodynamic practices in the vineyard. First recorded vintage: 2000 Winemaking approach inspired by the Burgundian style
Winery history
Ornella Tondini and Lionel Cousin moved from Paris to Montalcino in the 1990s. They purchased Podere Centine in 1994 and began planting vineyards toward the end of the decade; the first recorded harvest was in 2000. The estate was restored after a long period of inactivity and developed using organic farming methods and a careful selection of vines.
Production philosophy
Low-impact vineyard practices, use of organic methods, controlled yields and minimal intervention in the cellar. Respectful winemaking with indigenous yeasts, aging in Burgundian-style barriques, without filtration or fining to showcase the wines' elegance and evolution.
Terroir and vineyards
Podere Centine is located southwest of Montalcino, close to the village of Camigliano, on a hill overlooking the Ombrone valley. The soils are clay-sandy with a notable presence of pebbles, and the site benefits from maritime breezes despite being about 30 km from the sea.
