Pairing Desserts, aged cheeses
It displays an intense ruby color with garnet reflections, suggesting the concentration typical of a Carignano passito. On the nose it shows ripe and candied red fruit, dried figs and plum, accompanied by a base of honey and light Mediterranean spices; the profile is enveloping but not overly heavy, with a pleasant sweet sensation that remains well balanced. The palate is warm and rounded, showing body and density without losing freshness, while the tannic texture, soft and integrated, supports the sweetness and leads to a long, clean finish.

On the palate the sweetness is balanced by good acidity and a salinity that make the wine suitable for food pairings as well; it pairs harmoniously with aged or blue cheeses, desserts based on dried fruit and honey, or as a meditation wine. Serve slightly chilled to appreciate its aromas and structure; a choice for those seeking a passito with warm, Mediterranean tones, elegant and of good presence.

Winery history
Masi's history is rooted in Valpolicella Classica. A historic family-owned estate, it has developed and enhanced the wines from dried grapes typical of the region. During the 20th century the company helped popularize practices such as ripasso and launched oenological research and experimentation to refine the appassimento technique and the quality of its Amarone and its high-end bottlings.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local traditions and indigenous grape varieties with research and innovation in winemaking and in the appassimento process. The approach aims to express the Valpolicella territory through careful grape selection, the practice of appassimento and targeted oenological experimentation focused on quality improvement.
Terroir and vineyards
It operates mainly in the Valpolicella Classica, in the province of Verona. The wines are closely linked to the local grape varieties and the area's traditional practices, particularly to typical wines such as Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella Ripasso.
