In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red color, promising a truly unique olfactory and taste experience. On the nose, Petrucci Melo bursts with aromas of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, with a pleasant background of spices including black pepper and a light touch of vanilla, the result of its aging in wood.

On the palate, this wine demonstrates a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, confirming the promises made to the nose. The complexity of flavors and the length of the finish make this wine a perfect choice to accompany elaborate red meat dishes, game, or aged cheeses.

Winery history
Podere Forte was founded as an agricultural project led by Pasquale Forte and developed around the idea of a self-sufficient estate. The estate, operating since 1997, has re-created an integrated farm in the Val d’Orcia where viticulture, olive growing, beekeeping and livestock farming coexist, following organic and biodynamic practices.
Production philosophy
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with attention to soil health, production autonomy and the enhancement of local resources. The approach combines traditional techniques with precision tools in a system called "Sistema Forte," aimed at environmental and social sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Val d’Orcia, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the vineyards are planted on soils rich in schist and clay at varying elevations, which favor typical expressions of Sangiovese and Bordeaux-style blends. The estate also has extensive olive groves and large areas of agricultural land.
Awards and recognitions
Some Podere Forte wines have received recognition in international guides and competitions across different vintages.
