Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses, Tuscan dishes
Rosso di Montalcino DOC produced by Capanna embodies the authentic essence of the Tuscan terroir, an elegant and bright expression of the Sangiovese grape, the beating heart of the denomination. Originating from the hills of Montalcino, this wine stands out for its freshness and immediacy, typical characteristics of a young red but with a complex soul.

The territory, with its mild climate and clay and galestro-rich soils, gives the wine a fine tannic texture and a delicate balance between acidity and structure. The aging, generally short and traditional, allows the fruity notes of cherry, raspberry, and rosemary to remain intact, accompanied by light spicy nuances and a pleasant floral memory. The sip is lively, harmonious, with a clean and slightly savory finish that invites a second tasting.

Perfect to pair with Tuscan cuisine dishes such as pici with wild boar sauce or a rich ragù, this Rosso di Montalcino from Capanna is also ideal to accompany roasts and semi-aged cheeses, offering an authentic and engaging tasting experience, faithful to the identity of one of Italy’s most appreciated crus.
