Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
A Sicilian red that immediately shows a bright ruby hue, this wine tells Sicily’s story with frankness: aromas of ripe red fruit, subtle hints of Mediterranean maquis and a light spicy note that doesn’t overpower. On the nose it is direct and clean, with a pleasant freshness that balances the fruity component and makes the sip fairly lifted without sacrificing good substance. It’s immediately drinkable but not superficial.

On the palate it is medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and an acidic thread that supports the finish, making the wine suitable for everyday meals as well as more considered pairings. It goes well with pasta with ragù, medium-aged cheeses, cured meats and light grills; it gives warmth without weighing you down. Serve around 16–18 °C; it’s a versatile red, enjoyable now but able to retain its freshness for a few years.
