Planteray’s Rum Original Dark Pouring presents a deep amber color, almost mahogany, and offers a warm, enveloping nose. On the nose there are notes of dark caramel, burnt sugar and a hint of cocoa, with a light spiciness that does not overpower. The palate is soft and rounded, supported by a delicate tannic texture and a warm alcoholic sensation that supports the body without being aggressive; the finish remains persistent with sweet echoes and a toasted note.

Suitable both for mixing and for drinking neat or on the rocks, it finds its place in dark cocktails and in recipes that require a full-bodied base: it balances acids and bitters well. It also lends itself to simple food pairings, such as dark chocolate or desserts made with dried fruit, and should be served cool but not cold to fully appreciate its aromas.
