The Salento Rosato IGT "Five Roses" by Leone de Castris represents a historic chapter in Italian viticulture, being the first rosé wine bottled and sold in Italy since 1943. This historic label gets its name from the five roses that adorn each bottle, each representing the generations of the de Castris family dedicated to winemaking.

Originating from the sun-soaked lands of Salento, in Puglia, this wine is the result of careful selection of Negroamaro grapes, with a small percentage of Malvasia Nera. The winemaking process begins with a brief maceration of the grapes at controlled temperatures, followed by fermentation in steel to preserve all the fruity aromas.

Visually, the Five Roses stands out for its bright rosé color with coral reflections. On the nose, it is rich with intense and enticing scents of cherry, ripe strawberry, and delicate floral touches. On the palate, the wine is fresh, harmonious, and well-balanced, with a pleasant aromatic persistence that echoes the freshness and fruity flavors perceived olfactively.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Salento Rosato IGT "Five Roses" pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, and fresh cheeses. Its versatility also makes it an excellent companion for Asian cuisine and flavorful summer salads.

Each sip of this rosé speaks of the passion and winemaking history of the de Castris family, making Five Roses not just a wine, but a legacy of flavor to discover and share.
