The Sanct Valentin Lagrein DOC, produced by the renowned St. Michael Eppan winery, is a true expression of the unique terroir of Alto Adige. This deep and intriguing red wine originates from vineyards located in the best areas of this mountainous region, where the specific microclimate favors the optimal development of the Lagrein grape.

With meticulous maceration and aging mostly in French oak barriques, the Sanct Valentin Lagrein DOC reveals a complex and richly faceted structure. The nose features intense notes of ripe berries, such as blackberries and raspberries, skillfully combined with hints of dark spices and a subtle vein of cocoa and leather, deriving from the elegant wooden aging.

On the palate, the wine is robust and full-bodied, with well-balanced tannins and a persistence that underlines its high quality. The acidity is well integrated, ensuring a surprising freshness that lingers in the long and pleasantly spiced finish.

Ideal as a pairing with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Sanct Valentin Lagrein DOC stands out for its elegance and intensity. It is also an excellent candidate for aging, capable of evolving and gaining complexity over time.

Serve at a temperature of about 16-18°C to enhance all its nuances. A wine that will undoubtedly satisfy the most demanding connoisseurs in search of profound and memorable sensory experiences.
