The Sanct Valentin Pinot Bianco from St. Michael Eppan represents one of the most refined examples of Pinot Bianco produced in Alto Adige. This label, part of the renowned Sanct Valentin collection, is celebrated for its elegance and extraordinary aging and maturing capabilities.

The wine displays a bright straw-yellow color, with greenish tints that suggest freshness and liveliness. On the nose, the bouquet is intensely aromatic, offering a variety of scents ranging from white-fleshed fruits, such as apple and pear, to more complex notes of almond, honey, and a light hint of vanilla, a testament to its elegant aging in barriques.

On the palate, the Sanct Valentin Pinot Bianco surprises with its extraordinary richness and complexity. The attack is fresh and soft, followed by a beautiful acidity that supports the sip making it vibrant and enduring. The structure is well-balanced, with a medium body that harmoniously blends with its aromatic intensity.

The grapes used for this wine come from the best parcels of vineyards, carefully selected to ensure a superior quality product. The winemaking follows strict protocols, with controlled fermentation followed by a period of aging in oak barrels that contributes to giving the wine those subtle woody notes and greater complexity.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Sanct Valentin Pinot Bianco pairs beautifully with elegant fish dishes, seafood, and fresh cheeses. It is also a perfect companion for dishes from both local Alto Adige and international cuisine that require a wine with personality and finesse. Highly recommended for those seeking an Alto Adige white that combines tradition, innovation, and pure tasting pleasure.

Winery history
Founded as a cooperative winery in 1907, St. Michael‑Eppan has grown to unite hundreds of wine‑growing families and to attain national and international recognition. Since the late 1970s the role of Hans Terzer has helped shift the focus from mass production to quality wines; in recent years the winery has developed flagship ranges such as Appius and The Wine Collection.
Production philosophy
A cooperative effort by the members combined with a strong focus on terroir and varietal typicity: focused vinification, grape selection for the top ranges, and limited production for premium bottlings. The winery showcases local crus and varietal expression.
Terroir and vineyards
Appiano sulla Strada del Vino, located in the Alto Adige/Südtirol wine‑growing area, with vineyards situated at approximately 400–900 m above sea level; predominantly calcareous‑gravelly and morainic soils that characterize the winery’s wines.
