The Sangiovese di Romagna DOC Oriolo, Terre di Oriolo, from Azienda Vinicola Poderi Morini, is a red wine that modestly reflects the local character. It shows a medium ruby colour; on the nose there are notes of cherry and small red fruits, accompanied by herbaceous hints and delicate spicy nuances. The attack is fresh, supported by a balanced tannic framework that provides structure without weighing it down, while the finish remains clean and with pleasant sapid persistence.

It is a versatile wine, suitable with traditional dishes: cured meats, simple pasta or with meat sauces, grilled white meats and medium-matured cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 16–18 °C; it is best enjoyed in the first years after purchase and suits informal meals. On the palate there are also light floral notes and a liveliness that makes the sip easy; ideal for everyday drinking.

Winery history
Poderi Morini was established in 1998. The first wines were the Sangiovese Riserva “Nonno Rico” and the passito “L’Innamorato”. From the start the estate focused on recovering Romagna native varieties and artisanal production; collaborators named include agronomist Luciano Lusa and oenologist Maurizio Castelli. The company website notes founder Alessandro Morini was recognized as an ambassador of Romagna wine during Vinitaly’s 50th year.
Production philosophy
"We add value to the Romagna we love." The estate combines attention to terroir and native varieties with a strong artistic component: artist-signed labels and a vision of the terroir as a 'blank canvas' where the vines express colours, aromas and flavours.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards root between the yellow sands of the 'Sabbie di Imola' and the 'Blue Clays', in the transition strip between the foothills and the low hills of Oriolo in the Faenza area. The estate describes the terroir as fresh and savory, influenced by the Adriatic breeze and Apennine winds.
