The quality recognized in Piera 1899's wines is the result of a daily commitment, based on respect for the territory and its tradition and fueled by an innate ability to innovate.
The harvest period of this vine begins at the end of September. The vinification is in red with prolonged maceration for 15 - 20 days at a controlled temperature of 26 ° - 28 ° C. After the alcoholic fermentation the malolactic fermentation is induced with a subsequent stay on the fine deposit in large barrels until spring.
In the glass it shows a deep ruby red color, with slightly garnet reflections. The nose is a spicy wine with notes of cloves and hints of small red berries; with aging, sweet vanilla aromas also emerge. On the palate the flavor is full, velvety with sweet and delicate spiciness of the tannins and very persistent in the mouth.
At the table this Cabernet Sauvignon goes perfectly with red meats, poultry and game, and also goes well with cured meats and aged cheeses.
