This Verdicchio di Jesi DOCG Superiore "Riserva Salmariano" from Marotti Campi shows a straw-yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose it offers notes of citrus (lemon, citron), white flowers and white-fleshed fruit, accompanied by a slight bitter almond and mineral hints. On the palate it is full and dry, with lively acidity supporting a sapid texture and an articulated structure; the finish is persistent with fruity recalls and a slightly almond-like sensation. On aeration it reveals more complexity, with layers emerging progressively and a sense of cleanliness and aromatic precision.

It pairs well with more structured fish dishes, shellfish, white meats and semi-aged cheeses; serve at 10–12°C. The wine can evolve in bottle if stored correctly, offering greater nuances over time. Produced by Marotti Campi, it presents itself as a characterful option for those seeking a Verdicchio balanced between freshness and body.

Historic family-run estate. Specializing in Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. Modern winery built in 1999, employing low-impact environmental practices. Vineyards situated at around 180 m above sea level; mixed soils tending toward clay. Recognized in national and international guides.
Winery history
The estate was purchased by the Marotti family in the mid-19th century (first local documentary mention of the vineyard dates to 1886). Giovanni Marotti Campi began modernizing the vineyards in 1991 and the modern winery was built in 1999; the estate remains family-run (Giovanni, Francesca and son Lorenzo).
Production philosophy
Winemaking exclusively from estate-grown grapes; low-impact farming (no irrigation, limited treatments with low-dose products); careful temperature control in the cellar (thermo-conditioned tanks, use of dry ice and nitrogen for whites), pneumatic presses, ageing partly in barriques and energy self-sufficiency via solar panels installed in 2010.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate of about 120 hectares with 53 hectares planted to vines, located in Sant'Amico (Morro d'Alba, AN). Hilly vineyards around 180 m asl, medium-textured soils with notable clay; varied exposures. Main grapes: Lacrima and Verdicchio; small plantings of Montepulciano, Petit Verdot and Cabernet since 1999.
