The Spritz was born in the distant 1700-1800 during the Austrian dominion in the Lombardy-Veneto region. Originally, it was obtained by combining water and sparkling wine. It is thanks to the Austrian soldiers that today we can taste this cocktail, as they have spread this new drink throughout Italy.

Today, however, the recipe has changed slightly. In fact, it is possible to make the Spritz in different ways and variations: with Aperol (the most popular), with Campari, with Select ...

The recipe for Spritz Aperol

Ingrediants

  • 1/3 of Aperol
  • 1/3 of Prosecco
  • 1/3 of Seltzer Water (replaceable with Sparkling Water)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 slice of Orange

The aforementioned ingredients are for making only 1 Spritz (for one person), if there is a need to make more, just multiply the ingredients by how many Spritz you want to make.

Procedure

  1. Cut the orange into wedges
  2. Put the ice cubes in the glass
  3. Add 1/3 of Aperol
  4. Add 1/3 of Prosecco
  5. Fill the glass with Seltzer water (or sparkling water)
  6. Complete by adding a slice of orange
