Winery Antoine Sanzay

He comes from a family of local winegrowers: Antoine gradually took over the family vineyards in Varrains from the late 1990s and began vinifying his own harvests in the early 2000s. In the following years the estate developed while maintaining a parcel-by-parcel approach and showcasing local terroirs such as Les Poyeux.

Terroir-driven production: organic farming, minimal intervention in the cellar, use of native yeasts, lees management and measured ageing to express the character of each individual parcel.

The domaine is based in Varrains and cultivates vineyards in Saumur and Saumur‑Champigny. Frequently cited parcels include Les Poyeux, Les Salles Martin and La Haye Dampierre.
