Winery history Champagne Théophile

The Théophile brand recalls an old label that enjoyed great success in the 1930s in Montparnasse. Today the Théophile cuvée has been relaunched and is produced by Maison Louis Roederer, remaining faithful to the style that made it popular.

Production philosophy

An accessible yet well-crafted Champagne: consistent blending, the use of reserve wines, and winemaking that prioritizes freshness and roundness. This approach uses Roederer’s younger vines together with Pinot Meunier sourced from traditional areas to achieve a harmonious and recognizable profile.

Terroir and vineyards

Appellation Champagne. The base of the cuvée comes from the Louis Roederer estate's young vines, supplemented by Pinot Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne and the western part of the Montagne de Reims.
