Winery history Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard

Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is a family project formed by the union of the wine holdings of the Gagnard and Fontaine families. The estate grew out of family vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and developed with the arrival of new generations, who have continued the traditional work in the vineyards and in the cellar.

Production philosophy

Respect for the terroir and traditional methods: targeted vineyard work to ensure grape health, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and aging in wood with varying proportions of new oak depending on the cuvée. The careful use of oak is regarded as central to achieving purity and finesse in the wines.

Terroir and vineyards

Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, with vineyard parcels also in the communes of Volnay and Pommard. The portfolio includes village wines, numerous Premier Cru sites and parcels tied to renowned Grand Crus.
