Winery Jean de la Fontaine

The wines under this label come from Maison Baron Albert: the family's winemaking activity dates back to the mid-20th century and has been passed down through generations. Today the estate is managed by sisters Aline, Claire and Lise Baron, who uphold the family tradition by combining modern viticulture and winemaking practices with the house's historical heritage.

An approach focused on expressing the terroir through targeted technical interventions: separate vinification for each variety and the use of the traditional method for sparkling wines. The estate reports investments in modern equipment and a commitment to sustainable practices, also recognized by environmental certification.

Production facility in Charly-sur-Marne, in the Marne. Work carried out in compliance with the rules of the appellation includes hand harvesting and separate vinification of the varieties, with the aim of producing balanced cuvées that reflect the terroir of the Marne Valley.

The cuvée L’Éloquente was awarded a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2022.
