Winery history Podere Le Boncie

Podere Le Boncie began as a small estate in the hamlet of San Felice. Giovanna Morganti, with a background as an oenologist and a family connection to local viticulture, converted the estate she inherited from her father into a vineyard dedicated to traditional Tuscan grape varieties. Over time, production has focused on artisanal wines that aim to convey the purity and expressiveness of the terroir, with hand-harvesting and traditional winemaking in wooden vats and barrels.

Production philosophy

Low-intervention approach in the vineyard and cellar, inspired by natural and partly biodynamic practices: respect for the vine’s natural cycle, spontaneous fermentations where possible, and minimal handling during aging to enhance the character of Sangiovese and the estate’s other historic varieties.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the southern Chianti Classico, around San Felice. The vineyards rest on the area's typical soils, with a calcareous component and galestro, which promote freshness and finesse in the wines.
