Winery history Monogram (Castel Faglia)

This is the story of Castel Faglia, a winery founded in Calino in 1989. The name evokes the former owner's ancient castle. After several changes in management, the Cavicchioli family took over the estate and developed its Franciacorta production and the premium Monogram line.

Production philosophy

Seeking a balance between intensity and freshness, with respect for the terroir and care at every production stage: hand-harvesting, grape selection, gentle pressing and careful blending of the cuvées. The winery also declares a specific focus on sustainable practices and responsible resource management.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the heart of Franciacorta, the winery sits on a moraine hill at about 300 m above sea level. The vineyards are planted on well-exposed terraces and benefit from breezes from nearby Lake Iseo, which contribute to a favorable microclimate for sparkling wine grapes.

Awards and recognitions

The cuvée Monogram and the winery's other Franciacorta have received national and international recognition, including mentions and awards from 5StarWines, ViniPlus, The WineHunter, Guida Veronelli and Gilbert & Gaillard.
