A prestigious red born in Valtènesi, the Lombard area most suited to the production of reds from Groppello grapes.
The harvest begins at the end of September, the grapes are carefully selected before harvesting which is done manually. This is followed by destemming and delicate pressing before fermentation in steel for 10/12 days. The refinement is in second/third passage wood for a duration of 12 months and then in the bottle for another 6 months before being put on the market.
It has an elegant deep ruby red colour. On the nose, the bouquet is varied and decisive, defined by spicy notes mixed with fruity hints of ripe fruit and wild strawberries. In the mouth it is particularly soft and the tannins are sweet and balanced. A sip with great personality and excellent persistence, which enters the palate with an enveloping and savory taste to evolve into an elegant and velvety return.
Excellent pairing with red meats, roasts, stews and medium-aged cheeses.
