Barolo DOCG - Prapò - Schiavenza represents a high expression of one of the most prestigious Italian wines, fruit of the passion and experience of the Schiavenza winery. Located in the heart of Piedmont, in the historic Langhe region, Schiavenza cultivates Nebbiolo for Barolo with dedication, carefully selecting the grapes from the best vineyards. "Prapò" is a cru of particular importance located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, known for its ability to produce wines of extraordinary structure and longevity.
This Barolo has an intense garnet red color, typical of wines produced from Nebbiolo grapes. On the nose, complex and deep notes of ripe red fruit stand out, enriched by nuances of withered flowers, tobacco, leather and a light hint of spices, due both to the quality of the grapes and the meticulous aging process in wood.
On the palate, the Barolo DOCG Prapò di Schiavenza expresses an excellent structure, with powerful but elegantly smooth tannins, supported by a well-balanced acidity that guarantees freshness and liveliness. The wine develops harmoniously, offering a range of flavors that reflect the olfactory sensations, leading to a long and persistent finish, with mineral and spice notes that testify to the complexity and richness of this cru.
Ideal in combination with intense and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, mature cheeses and mushroom-based dishes, Barolo Prapò is also a perfect wine for moments of meditation, capable of evolving over time and revealing new nuances of taste and aroma .
