The vines grow on calcareous soils rich in skeleton, located in the picturesque hills of the Chianti Classico region, between the municipalities of Barberino Val d'Elsa and Castellina. Cepparello is fermented in stainless steel tanks, with a long maceration period that allows for the extraction of intense colors, deep aromas, and robust tannins. Subsequently, it matures for about 18 months in French oak barriques, both new and first passage, helping to add layers of aromatic complexity and a velvety texture.
Visually, the wine displays an intense ruby-red color, with garnet highlights as it matures. On the nose, it emits rich scents of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and hints of tobacco and leather, a testament to its aging in wood.
