Alsace Gewürztraminer Gewurz from Domaine Barmès Buecher is a rich and aromatic white wine, known for its excellent expression of the Alsatian terroir. Produced in France, in the Alsace region, this wine is celebrated for its intense floral and spicy aromas, featuring notes of rose, lychee, and cinnamon.

On the palate, Domaine Barmès Buecher's Gewürztraminer is opulent and full-bodied, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, making it incredibly harmonious. The complexity of flavor is enriched with sensations of ripe tropical fruit, honey, and spices, with a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasantly aromatic aftertaste.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine pairs splendidly with spicy foods, blue cheeses, and fruit-based desserts. The richness of Gewürztraminer Gewurz from Domaine Barmès Buecher means it can also be enjoyed in contemplation, as a meditation wine. An authentic expression of Alsace, which enchants with its intensity and elegance.

Winery history
The estate was established by the union of the Barmès and Buecher families; its creation is linked to the founders’ marriage, and the family structure has continued through subsequent generations. Since the late 1990s the estate undertook conversion to biodynamic viticulture, a process completed with official certification in the early 2000s. Today the family’s children are actively involved in managing the vineyard and cellar.
Production philosophy
They practice biodynamic viticulture with attention to natural rhythms and the soil: manual work, biodynamic preparations, hedgerows and biodiversity in the vineyard. In the cellar a measured approach is preferred to allow the character of the terroir and the vintage to emerge clearly in the bottles. They are a member of Biodyvin and collaborate with initiatives that promote the expression of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is located in Wettolsheim, a few kilometres west/southwest of Colmar and near Eguisheim, on the foothills of the Vosges. The vineyard comprises several lieux-dits and parcels on varied soils and produces wines linked to specific terroirs, including Grand Crus such as Hengst, Steingrubler and Pfersigberg; parcels include Rosenberg, Leimental and Clos Sand.
