Historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape producer with vineyard parcels in around 15 lieux-dits. La Cuvée du Papet: a special cuvée launched in 1989 and internationally recognized. Vineyards spread across multiple appellations: approximately 21 hectares in Châteauneuf, 14 hectares in Lirac, 10 hectares in Côtes du Rhône, and 3 hectares in IGP Gard. Classic Southern Rhône blends.
Winery history
Family-run, the estate has long been associated with the Sabon family. The estate is recognized as a historic producer of Châteauneuf-du-Pape; the family has been active in the area since the early 20th century, and the modern estate is often cited as having been founded in 1932. In 1989 the Cuvée du Papet was launched, becoming the estate's flagship label.
Production philosophy
The approach prioritizes expression of the terroir: grape varieties are planted according to individual parcels, with a focus on finesse and a strong sense of place. Winemaking combines traditional techniques with targeted vineyard work to highlight the distinct parcels and styles.
