The Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC Ripasso presented in Rehoboam format, kept in a wooden case by Secondo Marco, is a true celebration of Valpolicella wine, elevated through the ripasso process. This traditional technique, which involves the refermentation of the wine on Amarone pomace, gives the wine an extraordinary complexity and depth.

The color is an intense ruby red, with reflections that tend towards garnet as the wine evolves. On the nose, Valpolicella Ripasso offers a rich and persistent aromatic profile, with dominant notes of ripe cherry, plum and a plethora of spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, enriched with nuances of tobacco and leather, a tribute to its aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine is dense and full-bodied, with a texture of silky tannins that blend harmoniously with a well-balanced acidity, creating a perfect balance between power and elegance. Black fruit flavors blend with touches of bitter chocolate and coffee, leading to a long, spicy finish that lingers pleasantly.

This Rehoboam format, equivalent to six standard bottles, is ideal for special occasions, ensuring not only a memorable tasting experience, but also a notable visual impact. Pairing it with rich foods such as meat stews, roasts and aged cheeses further enhances its robust and complex qualities.

The wooden case not only protects the precious contents, but also makes it a luxurious gift or an impressive addition to any wine collection. With excellent aging potential, Secondo Marco's Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC Ripasso in Rehoboam format promises to develop further nuances of flavor and aroma for years to come, representing a splendid investment for wine lovers.

Winery history
Secondo Marco is the personal project of Marco Speri, originated within the historic Speri family and established as an independent winery in 2008. The winery was founded to interpret Valpolicella according to Marco’s vision and taste, with a focus on grape selection and traditional techniques such as grape drying for Amarone.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the character of the terroir through an approach that combines tradition and research: careful vineyard management, hand selection of the bunches, use of appassimento and winemaking focused on preserving sapidity and the grape's aromas. For the Amarone, the winery states long, spontaneous fermentations without added yeasts. The emphasis is on organoleptic quality and territorial identity.
