Turriga Isola dei Nuraghi is the top of the range of the Argiolas winery, it simply represents the bottled terroir. The vineyards are grown on the estate in the countryside of Selegas, the soil is stony and calcareous and the climate is decidedly Mediterranean with rather mild winters and hot and breezy summers. These particular characteristics give the indigenous Cannonau grapes the maximum elegance and harmony that can be found in the glass.
An excellent wine born from the expert hand of Giacomo Tachis, one of the most famous winemakers in the world. In the glass it shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections and is revealed with a refined complex olfactory process. Delicious fruity aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry jam, mixed with inviting aromas of roasting and blond tobacco and balsamic hints of eucalyptus and notes of fern, combined with hints of marine scrub.
A bouquet that opens to a rich, almost palpable sip, with an elegantly crafted tannin. A sumptuous wine to be enjoyed with delicious meats; it is advisable to try it in combination with a tasty fillet with porcini, or with a slice of aged caciocavallo podolico.
