Menabrea is a very ancient brand of beer, in fact, it was founded in 1846 by the company of the same name, whose historic headquarters and brewery are located in Biella, in Piedmont. In over a century and a half of life, Menabrea beer has won prestigious awards including, in 1924 alone, 4 Grand Prix at the exhibitions in Milan, Rome, Brussels and Paris; as well as 3 gold medals for Lager, 3 for Amber and 6 for Strong at the World Beer Championships in Chicago.
Menabrea Rossa is a low fermentation double malt red beer; when poured it releases an abundant and persistent foam. It has a distinctive sweet aroma of roasted malt and brown sugar, with a structured body.
It goes perfectly with cured meats and red meats, perfect with blue cheeses and chocolate desserts.
