The Marsala Vergine DOP - Riserva del Centenario - Pellegrino 1880 is a prestigious wine that celebrates over a century of winemaking tradition of the famous Pellegrino winery, located in the city of Marsala, Sicily. This wine exemplifies excellence in the production of Marsala, providing a unique sensory experience, highly appreciated by sommeliers and connoisseurs around the world.

The Riserva del Centenario comes from grapes selected with extreme care and subjected to a rigorous winemaking process. It is aged in oak barrels for extended periods, which can exceed 20 years, to enrich the aromatic profile and ensure extraordinary complexity. The result is a Marsala of dark amber color, with reflections that tend towards antique gold.

On the nose, the Marsala Vergine offers intense notes of dried fruit, such as figs and plums, combined with nuances of vanilla, tobacco, and sweet spices, including caramel and nutmeg. The palate is enveloping, with an extraordinary harmony between alcoholic warmth and acidic freshness. The flavor is persistent, with a finish that reveals nuances of bitter almond and a light touch of oak.

This Marsala is ideal as a meditative wine or as it masterfully accompanies intense dishes like aged cheeses, dark chocolate, or dishes based on duck liver. Its richness and complexity also make it an excellent candidate for further aging, as it can evolve and improve over the years.

The Marsala Vergine DOP - Riserva del Centenario - Pellegrino 1880 represents an authentic symbol of luxury and quality in the landscape of Italian fortified wines, making it an indispensable element for every collector and an exclusive gift for wine lovers.
