The Chardonnay DOC Friuli - Terre Magre by Piera Martellozzo is an elegant expression of the Chardonnay varietal, cultivated in the lush vineyards of Friuli Venezia Giulia. This wine reflects the meticulous attention and passion that the Piera Martellozzo winery dedicates to the production of high-quality wines.

The winemaking process begins with selective harvesting of the grapes, followed by gentle pressing. The obtained must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, thus preserving the inherent aromatic characteristics of the Chardonnay. The brief maturation process in steel retains the wine's freshness and liveliness.

From an organoleptic perspective, the Chardonnay DOC Friuli – Terre Magre presents a brilliant straw-yellow color, indicating its youth and vitality. The bouquet is rich and complex, with prominent notes of green apple and white peach, a slight hint of citrus, and a subtle mineral vein that adds elegance. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced, boasting excellent acidic freshness complemented by a creaminess that envelops the mouth, leading to a persistent and pleasantly fruity finish.

This Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif but also pairs beautifully with fish dishes, white meats, and fresh cheeses. It offers a tasting experience that enhances conviviality and refinement, perfect for those who wish to explore the richness of the Friuli region through one of its most representative varietals.

A true gem for white wine enthusiasts seeking a distinctive product with a fresh and harmonious character.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
