The Barbera D'Alba "Il Cerreto" from the Roberto Voerzio winery is a superb expression of the Barbera grape variety, cultivated in the renowned hills of Alba in the heart of Piedmont. This wine is an excellent example of this area's ability to produce Barbera of the highest level, thanks in part to the expertise of a world-famous winery such as Roberto Voerzio's.

Produced with hand-selected grapes, Il Cerreto is vinified with great attention to detail. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French oak barriques, which helps to mellow the vigorous tannins typical of Barbera and adds complexity of aromas and flavors.

Visually, the wine presents an intense ruby red color, with violet hues revealing its youth. On the nose, it surprises with a rich bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as black cherry and blueberry, enriched by a light note of vanilla and sweet spices from the wood. On the palate, the Barbera D'Alba "Il Cerreto" is vigorous and full-bodied, with a lovely acidity that makes it fresh and pleasantly drinkable. The tannins are well integrated, and the finish is long and persistent, echoing the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

Perfect to serve at a temperature of 16-18°C, this wine pairs wonderfully with Piedmontese cuisine, such as agnolotti al plin or red wine braised meats. It is also ideal with aged cheeses and cured meats. The Barbera D'Alba "Il Cerreto" by Roberto Voerzio is a wine that continues to evolve and surprise, demonstrating Barbera's ability to reach levels of excellence when treated with respect and mastery.
