Barolo DOCG - Verduno - Fratelli Alessandria represents one of the most elegant and distinctive expressions of Barolo, produced by one of the most respected and historic wineries in Piedmont, Fratelli Alessandria. Located in the municipality of Verduno, on the north-western border of the Barolo denomination, this winery benefits from a unique terroir, which gives the wine particular characteristics sought after by wine enthusiasts from all over the world.

The Verduno area is known for its ability to produce Barolos of great finesse and aroma, thanks also to the particular composition of the soil and the exposure of the vineyards. Nebbiolo, the main grape variety of Barolo, here expresses a more delicate and floral version, without sacrificing the structure and complexity that distinguish the great wines of this denomination.

Visually, the Barolo Verduno by Fratelli Alessandria presents itself with a light garnet red color, typical of Barolos that emphasize elegance and finesse. On the nose, the wine opens with an intensely floral aromatic bouquet, with notes of rose, violet and cherry, enriched by nuances of spices, leather and a subtle mineral touch, which reflects the particularity of the Verduno terroir.

On the palate, the wine reveals an extraordinary harmony between acidity and tannins, the latter finely crafted to guarantee pleasant and satisfying drinking. The flavors refer to the olfactory sensations, with additions of ripe red fruits and a light balsamic aftertaste, which contributes to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with refined meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles, and mature cheeses, the Barolo DOCG Verduno by Fratelli Alessandria is also perfect as a wine for contemplation, capable of expressing its complexity and evolving over time. time, always revealing new nuances.

Family-run operation with a long local tradition.
Winery history
Family-run for generations, the winery has been in Verduno since the early 19th century. The main building is an 18th-century house adjacent to the historic centre; the family has continued winemaking, maintaining a family-sized operation and management, and preserving the local tradition of producing and bottling wines of the Langhe.
Production philosophy
The winery prioritizes its connection to the territory: it focuses primarily on native grape varieties, produces wine exclusively from estate-grown grapes, and maintains an approach that combines respect for traditional practices, artisanal care, and attention to oenological and agronomic innovations.
