The Barolo Riserva DOCG - Vigna San Giuseppe - Cavallotto is an example of extraordinary excellence and representativeness within the panorama of Barolos, produced by the Cavallotto winery. Located in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of Barolo, the Cavallotto family has been cultivating vines and producing wines since 1928, with a constant commitment to quality and respect for the terroir. Vigna San Giuseppe is particularly appreciated for its position and its ideal microclimate, which contribute to giving the wine a unique and distinctive character.
This Reserve is produced only in the best vintages, through a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes which come exclusively from this specific vineyard. The prolonged refinement, partly in large Slavonian oak barrels and partly in the bottle, allows us to obtain a Barolo of extraordinary complexity and depth, capable of evolving magnificently over the years.
Barolo Riserva Vigna San Giuseppe has an intense garnet red color, with reflections that tend towards orange with aging. On the nose it offers a complex and multi-layered aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruit, dried flowers, tobacco, leather and nuances of spices, enriched by a mineral background that reflects the uniqueness of the Castiglione Falletto terroir.
In the mouth, the wine shows a powerful but balanced structure, with ripe and silky tannins that intertwine perfectly with lively acidity, guaranteeing a harmonious and persistent sip. The flavor palette is consistent with the sense of smell, culminating in a long and satisfying finish that leaves room for a pleasant aromatic complexity.
Perfect to accompany rich and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, braised meats, game and mature cheeses, the Barolo Riserva DOCG - Vigna San Giuseppe - Cavallotto is also a meditation wine, which invites a slow and careful tasting to appreciate all its nuances.
