The Bardolino Chiaretto DOC Saint Valery by Giarola is a distinguished example that reflects the elegance and liveliness of rosé wines coming from the picturesque Veneto region. This wine is particularly renowned for its soft pink color and for the delicate yet expressive aromatic profile that characterizes it.

Produced mainly from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, the Bardolino Chiaretto provides a rich olfactory experience, with notes of fresh cherry, strawberry, and a light hint of roses and spices. The winemaking process involves brief contact with the skins, which contributes to its pale color and intense aromas.

On the palate, the Bardolino Chiaretto DOC Saint Valery - Giarola is light and refreshing, with a pleasant acidity that makes it an ideal companion for summer dishes. Fresh red fruit flavors dominate, accompanied by a subtle mineral note that makes the sip even more interesting and enjoyable.

Served chilled, between 8-10°C, this wine is perfect to pair with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, or simply as an aperitif. Its freshness also makes it an excellent match for Mediterranean cuisine, particularly dishes such as Caprese salads or seafood carpaccio.

The Bardolino Chiaretto DOC Saint Valery by Giarola is not just a wine, but a true symbol of Italian winemaking tradition that values quality and authenticity, making it an excellent choice for any wine lover looking for something unique and sophisticated.

Winery history
The Giarola family's land has been planted with vines since the early 20th century; many online sources cite 1923 as the year the family's agricultural activity began. Winemaking on a more organized scale was initiated by Umberto Giarola in the 1960s, and the estate subsequently modernized its vineyards and facilities while remaining family-run and expanding its international sales.
Production philosophy
The winery declares an approach rooted in respect for the environment and a love of nature, implementing vineyard practices to improve quality and sustainability and investing in technology for winemaking and storage.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in the hills of Palazzolo di Sona, in the immediate hinterland of Lake Garda. The soils are described as morainic of glacial origin, and the microclimate, moderated by the lake, is noted as a defining feature of the wines produced in the Bardolino and Custoza areas.
