The Barolo Chinato DOCG produced by the renowned Damilano winery represents a sublimation of Piedmontese oenology, where tradition and innovation merge to create a wine with a distinct aromatic and taste profile. This wine is the result of a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes, which after meticulous vinification, are enhanced by the addition of a variety of herbs and spices, including cinchona, which gives Chinato its unique characteristics.

The aging process takes place in small oak barrels that help develop the complexity of its bouquet and refine its taste balance. The color of Damilano's Barolo Chinato is intensely ruby red with garnet reflections that deepen with age. On the nose, it offers a penetrating and ethereal aroma, characterized by notes of ripe fruit, sweet spices, and a light, pleasant bitterness due to the cinchona.

On the palate, Damilano's Barolo Chinato DOCG displays a remarkable structure, well balanced by the acidity and tannins typical of Nebbiolo, harmoniously intertwined with the liveliness of the aromatic herbs that extend the flavor persistence. It is characterized by a finish that evokes warm and enveloping sensations, with an aftertaste reminiscent of licorice and dark chocolate.

Ideal as a meditation wine, it also excels as an after-dinner companion, greatly enhanced when paired with aged cheeses or chocolate desserts. Its complexity and unique character also make it an excellent star in festive occasions and ceremonies, where its presence is always synonymous with sophistication and elegance.
