The Etna Rosso DOC "Il Purgatorio" by Federico Curtaz is a wine that speaks of its land with intensity and passion. Born from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, this red is primarily produced with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, historic varieties of the region that beautifully adapt to the mineral-rich volcanic soil and the unique climate of the area.

The color of the wine is a deep ruby red with garnet nuances, immediately suggesting its complexity and elegance. On the nose, it opens with a bouquet of aromas ranging from fresh red berries to more evolved notes of tobacco, spices, and a subtle hint of vanilla, the result of balanced aging in wooden barrels.

On the palate, "Il Purgatorio" offers a solid yet harmonious structure. The acidity is well balanced by the softness of the tannins, making this wine particularly suited to aging well. The flavor of ripe red fruits blends with impressions of aromatic herbs and damp earth, typical expressions of the volcanic terroir.

This Etna Rosso DOC is ideal to accompany dishes rich in flavor such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Its elegance and complexity also make it perfect as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed slowly to appreciate every nuance.

Producing a wine like "Il Purgatorio" requires deep knowledge of the terrain and a constant commitment, qualities that Federico Curtaz demonstrates with excellence in every bottle. A true gem for lovers of Etna viticulture.
