Rosso Bolgheri Superiore DOC is a still red wine which, as the name suggests, is produced in Bolgheri, a small Tuscan town in the province of Livorno. The area is particularly famous for its production of red wines, which can be distinguished thanks to the Bolgheri DOC denomination. This happens because the sandy-clayey soil and the dry and windy micro-climate are ideal for growing Bordeaux vines. To make this wine, the grapes are fermented for about 20 days. Subsequently, the fermentation product is aged for 14 months in French barriques.
Rosso Bolgheri Superiore DOC is characterized by an intense ruby red colour. This wine releases aromas of wild berries, Mediterranean herbs and oriental spices into the air. In the mouth it is full-bodied, persistent and maintains the same aromatic notes of the perfume.
This still red wine is perfect to combine with meat dishes and aged cheeses.
