Presented in an impressive Magnum format, this wine represents not only an occasion for sharing but also an opportunity for wine connoisseurs to appreciate the evolution of a great Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca, over time. The "Vigna Sassorosso" is one of Nino Negri's most renowned parcels, located in the heart of the Grumello sub-area, famous for its ideal exposure and the soil which gives the wine extraordinary complexity and finesse.
At sight, the wine has an intense garnet red color, a sign of its structure and intensity. The olfactory bouquet is rich and complex, with a wide spectrum of aromas ranging from notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, to floral nuances, enriched by delicate touches of spices, vanilla and a light hint of tobacco, fruit of elegant wood refinement.
On the palate it demonstrates extraordinary elegance and depth. The tannins are finely woven and well integrated, supported by a lively acidity that gives freshness and guides towards a long and persistent finish, with a clear mineral and spicy imprint that leaves an indelible impression.
The Magnum format is particularly suitable for special occasions, allowing the wine to evolve and gradually reveal its richness and complexity. It is an excellent choice to accompany elaborate dishes of red meat, game and mature cheeses, but also as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed slowly to grasp every nuance.
