The Falanghina Campania Sabbia Vulcanica IGT by Agnanum represents a vibrant expression of the Campania territory, where the vineyards take root in soils rich in volcanic sand that impart unique minerality to the wine. Obtained from the indigenous Falanghina grape, this label enchants with its fresh and aromatic profile. On the nose, delicate notes of white flowers, fresh citrus, and mineral hints can be perceived, enhancing the olfactory complexity.

On the palate, it is lively, with a harmonious balance between acidity and body, characterized by an aromatic persistence that recalls the purity of the initial sensations. The winemaking method preserves the natural freshness and territoriality of this wine, making it ideal to accompany seafood dishes, light appetizers, and Mediterranean cuisine. The Falanghina by Agnanum is truly an invitation to discover the extraordinary richness of Campanian wines.

Agnanum – Winery in Campania

Discover the story and wines of Agnanum.

A small family-run winery in the Campi Flegrei (Agnano, Naples) producing wines from terraced vineyards on volcanic soil, with a low-intervention approach and limited production.
Region: Campania
Country: Italia
Grapes: Piedirosso, Falanghina
Vineyards on volcanic terraces in the Riserva degli Astroni Family-run estate directly managed by Raffaele Moccia. Hand-cultivated, low yields, late harvest. Limited production and low-intervention winemaking Native grape varieties: Piedirosso and Falanghina
Winery history
The estate is linked to the Moccia family: father Gennaro launched a plan to restore the vineyards in the Agnano/Astroni area in 1960, and his son Raffaele has continued to manage the property, preserving the traditional, hands-on nature of the cultivation.
Production philosophy
The estate practices "heroic" viticulture on steep terraces, with hand-harvesting, low yields and low-intervention winemaking. Its stated aim is to showcase the local volcanic terroir through limited-production wines that express the native grape varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the volcanic hills of the Astroni Nature Reserve, in the historic Campi Flegrei area. Dark, sandy soils, steep slopes and terraced cultivation requiring manual labor.
