Jorio is the selection of Montepulciano DOC grapes and worked in purity. The name is taken from a pastoral tragedy by Gabriele d'Annunzio - "The daughter of Jorio" - to pay homage to the poet's homeland.
The grapes selected in this way are macerated for 12 days in steel fermenters at a controlled temperature. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is then fermented according to malolactic fermentation, and subsequently this is refined for 50% in oak barrels and the remaining part in barriques.
The result is a debut and explosion of the best flavors given by the pure Montepulciano grapes. With deep hints and flavors of ripe grapes and strong acid notes that make up a wine with a beautiful structure.
