In the heart of the Bolognese hills, "Il Frizzante di Bologna Pignoletto DOC - Selezione 051" from La Riva winery is born, a wine that captures the elegance and vibrancy of the Pignoletto grape, characteristic of this fertile area of Italy. Recognized for its Controlled Designation of Origin, this sparkling Pignoletto is a splendid example of how tradition and innovation can follow the same path.

With a bright straw-yellow color and greenish reflections, it presents a fresh and inviting bouquet to the nose. The aromatic notes are a blend of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and a light touch of aromatic herbs that add complexity and spark curiosity. Ideal for those who love delicate yet well-defined flavors, this sparkling wine has a balanced savoriness and a fine, persistent perlage that encourages subsequent sips.

Perfect to serve as an aperitif, its charm makes it the ideal companion for light appetizers, fish dishes, or seafood. Its liveliness also makes it suitable to accompany dishes from the Emilia-Romagna cuisine, famously rich and varied.

Il Frizzante di Bologna Pignoletto DOC - Selezione 051 by La Riva is an excellent choice for all occasions, from casual dinners among friends to more formal celebrations, where wine plays a central role in stimulating conviviality and starting the dance of the palates. It is recommended to be served chilled, between 6 and 8°C, to fully appreciate its lively character and aromatic fragrance.

Invite your customers to travel through the countryside of Emilia-Romagna with every sip of this sparkling Pignoletto. This wine not only tells the story of a territory rich in winemaking traditions but also promises to elevate the tasting experience with its freshness and light effervescence.

Winery history
Tenuta La Riva was founded as a family project, driven by Alberto's passion and the tradition of several generations. The estate has grown steadily, focusing on bottle refermentation and the promotion of local grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Trebbiano Modenese, with the family involved in every stage from vineyard to cellar.
Production philosophy
The winery favors refermentation in bottle and a low-intervention winemaking approach: organic farming, low use of sulfites and techniques that respect the land and health. For sparkling wines they practice long periods of lees contact and perform disgorgements à la volée for low- or no-dosage wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate, located in the Colli Bolognesi at Castello di Serravalle, is surrounded by the characteristic calanchi of the Emilian Apennines and lies about half an hour from Bologna. It cultivates indigenous and international grape varieties suited to the hilly terrain.
